CEU FAQS
How do I earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
In order to earn CEUs, you must register for the educational program (such as the SCGC AEC) with CEUs and pay any regular registration fees in addition to the CEU certificate fee ($35). After attending the program, you must fill out the post-conference survey before the close-date. Depending on the event, your attendance may be confirmed by a sign-in sheet, virtual log of attendance, or by providing the correct attendance code provided at the program.

Can I watch recorded sessions for CEU credit?
For SCGC events, attendance must be live (either in-person or virtual, when available). Unfortunately, SCGC cannot offer CEUs for viewing recordings of a program unless otherwise specified.

I forgot to register for CEUs, can I still do so?
Before the event, you may still be able to re-register requesting CEUs and pay the associated fee. Please contact us for assistance. Once the event is complete, we cannot accept new requests for CEUs.

I forgot to fill out the survey, can I still do so?
Unfortunately, SCGC is unable to accept late entries once the survey has closed (usually one or two weeks after the program has ended).

How will I get my CEU certificate?
Check on the NSGC CEU portal Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Information. SCGC submits data to NSGC within 60 days of the final day of a CEU activity. It may take an additional 6-8 weeks for this information to be updated in the portal. If you do not see your CEUs after this time, contact NSGC for assistance using the Missing Certificate Request Form Survey.
I forgot to fill out the survey or didn’t register for CEUs. Can I submit this event for category 2 CEUs?
No, events that have approval for category 1 CEUs cannot be submitted to obtain category 2 CEUs.
